Superannuation is a pension scheme in Australia. It has a compulsory element whereby employees are required by law to pay a proportion of an employee’s salaries and wages into a superannuation fund, which can be accessed when the employee retires or “transitions to retirement”.

-   full-time, part-time or casual employee between 18 and 70 years of age, your employer is required to make superannuation contributions on your behalf for any month in which you are paid $450 (before tax) or more.

-   If you are under 18, you must be working more than 30 hours a week to be eligible to receive superannuation contributions from your employer under the Superannuation Guarantee.

-   If you are covered by an award or workplace agreement, you may be eligible to receive superannuation contributions from your employer on all of your earnings even if you are under 18, working part-time and earning less than $450 per calendar month

Time Management

Time management is something that all coaches need to carefully consider, but not just coaches, this also goes for any other workers in the work force. Developing strategies & techniques can help you manage your time more effectively & in turn will reduce the pressures on you & give you more time to yourself. there is 24 hours in a day & 60 minutes in each hr & in that time it is distributed equally & depending on how we choose to spend it, it can vary in a great deal.

An example of this is having a training session & having that particular session focus on one thing, then spend the whole training session doing different activities to achieve this goal. An effective coach will understand that in order to achieve this they would have to do some effective planning, which includes things such as stretching, warm up/cool down sessions & the whole session in general. planning can be done in such a simple way & yet it can shave of valuable time in a session.

coach carter

“What potential problems could you see with Coach carter’s coaching style”.

some of the problems that may occur as a result of coach carters coaching style are driving the players away due to the strictness of his coaching philosophy as two of the players did at the start of the movie. Another problem that may occur is that most of these players before seemed to be in control, with the arrival of coach carter, they began to listen & to step back a bit, but others may not want to give up there control & hand it to someone else. These kids wanted to do things their way but when someone else is telling them how it is then that begins to create tension & to create problems between the coach & the players. But the main problem was coach carter was being strict, & in some cases if your too strict then chances are that you can drive them away from the sport or in some cases you could just anger young kids & create more problems.

Sport Coaching Styles

i think that it is vital to manage all these different coaching styles at appropriate times. All these styles are different and they need to be used correctly. Autocratic shows a strict coach who makes all the decisions and is in total control, this situation would best be used in a situation like when organizing and managing just before the activity takes place. Democratic shows someone who is very relaxed and when it comes to making decisions will include player input and feedback a good situation to use this is when you begin to introduce new rules or are selecting the teams. Laisse Faire is similar to democratic but the coach is more relaxed and seems not to care all that often this type of style would be best for when the end of the training session has concluded and you just feel like having a bit of fun afterwards.

Sport Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is that when it comes to playing a particular sport it does not matter what the outcome is, just as-long as everyone gets in and has a go. Wining and loosing is not important to me when it comes to coaching, the important thing is that everyone participating in the chosen sport is having fun and enjoying themselves. Being able to accept winning and loosing and being able to play by the rules shows great sportsmanship.
